Three blue things making my heart sing this month:
Forgetmenot (myosotis) – which carpets and spreads so obligingly. It was here when I arrived, and has now migrated to every pot on my terrace. I don’t mind a bit. The most perfect of blues …in my humble opinion.
Bluebell (Hyacinthoides non-scripta) – I THINK these are English ones (deep blue with white pollen) but if you think they’re naughty spanish ones then do let me know and I’ll yank them out (with sadness)
Pulmonaria ‘Blue Ensign’ Exquisite blue, low growing. Mottled leaves. Need more.

I enjoy your posts so much and often amble back through earlier ones for relaxation and inspiration.
Your photography is amazing too. Can I be cheeky and ask what camera you use and are they taken with a Macro lens? My garden is a work in progress and I love taking regular photos but fear I havent the ‘right’ equipment.

Alison – thank you for your kind comment.
I use a Canon EOS, and yes, these closeups are taken with a macro lens, but the vast majority are taken with the ordinary lens that came with my camera.

The Englishness-or-not is hard to make out in that gorgeous closeup; does the whole stem arch and hang? Does it hang? Here’s one I snapped in Mull: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ralphaverbuch/2552531961/
